Ingredients
1smallonion, roughly choppedfinely chopped
1salad tomato, roughly chopped
1/4red pepper, roughly chopped
200millilitrestomato ketchup
1teaspoonmint sauce
2teaspoonsmango chutney
generous pinchcumin powder
generous pinchgaram masala
generous pinchchilli powderor to taste
1/4teaspoonbeetroot powder
1/4teaspoonsea salt
125millilitreswater
Instructions
In a blender, add 1 small onion, roughly chopped, 1 salad tomato, roughly chopped, 1/4 red pepper, roughly chopped, 200 millilitres tomato ketchup, 1 teaspoon mint sauce, 2 teaspoons mango chutney, generous pinch cumin powder, generous pinch garam masala, generous pinch chilli powder, 1/4 teaspoon beetroot powder, 1/4 teaspoon sea salt & 125 millilitres water. Blend, check the consistency and add a touch more water if required and blend again.
Transfer kebab shop style chilli sauce to a food safe container and set aside in the fridge for 1 hour before use. Serve with kebabs, pakora, pizza and more.
Notes
Milder Flavour: If you prefer a milder flavour, soak chopped onion in cold water for 10 minutes, rinse and drain before use. This works any time raw onion is called for in salad recipes.
