Equipment

  • 1 Large Pot

Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons sunflower oil
  • 8 tablespoons popping corn
  • 2 tablespoons soft dark brown sugar
  • sea salt to taste

Instructions

  • Add 4 tablespoons sunflower oil to a large pot with a lid (leave the lid off for now). Heat over medium heat until almost smoking.
  • Add 8 tablespoons popping corn to pot and stir immediately to coat in oil. As soon as the corn begins to pop, add 2 tablespoons soft dark brown sugar and cover with a lid. Shake pan constantly over heat to ensure popcorn is coated evenly with sugar as it pops. Continue shaking pot until popping slows down and corn has popped.
  • Remove from heat and transfer cooked popcorn to large serving bowl. Season with sea salt to taste and serve.

Notes

Store leftover salt & sweet popcorn in a sealed food bag or container for up to 3 days.
