When it comes to pizza night, a good selection of dips goes with pizza crusts, potato wedges, wings and more, and this easy garlic & herb dip is deliciously simple. It takes just a minute to prepare, and is equally tasty with chicken strips, kebabs and much more.
Ingredients For Takeaway Style Garlic & Herb Dip
This recipe uses mayonnaise as the base, combined with just a few other simple ingredients.
- Mayonnaise: Your favourite brand of mayonnaise is the perfect base for this recipe.
- American Mustard: Also known as ‘yellow’ mustard, French’s brand is perfect for this (not to be confused with French mustard). The mild stuff you’d put on a hot dog.
- Garlic Powder: Also known as ‘garlic granules’, look for fine grain or powder that will dissolve easily into the dip.
- Other Ingredients: Dried Parsley, Milk.
How To Make Garlic & Herb Dip
To make the dip, simply combine the ingredients in a bowl and then mix well. Add milk a little at a time until the dip reaches your preferred consistency. The dip can be prepared ahead of time and set aside in the fridge until required.
Step 1: Mix Ingredients
In a bowl, add 4 tablespoons mayonnaise, 1 teaspoon American mustard, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder and 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley. Mix well. Slowly add 5-6 tablespoons whole milk and mix thoroughly until the sauce reaches the desired consistency.
Step 2: Chill
Cover and set aside in the fridge for 1 hour, or overnight.
Step 3: Serve Garlic & Herb Dip
Serve with pizza, wings or wedges.

- Make It Vegan: You can make an easy vegan garlic & herb dip by using vegan mayonnaise and plant based milk with the remaining ingredients.
- Storage / Make Ahead: The dip keeps well for 2 days in the fridge, so can be made ahead of time.
